Hey don’t forget everyone, we have our monthly show this coming Saturday, January 2, at the Logan Square Small Bar, Albany and Wellington. We play from 10pm – midnight, free like always! Kick 2009 in the balls and ring in the new year with Tom Nevers Head!

Also, there will be NO February show, since Sarah’s going to San Francisco for a thing and Scott’s going to be in Alaska, so this is your last chance to see us til March! Til like, St. Patrick’s day or something.

Speaking of which, where should we play for St. Patrick’s day?

We’ll be at the Small Bar Logan Square this Saturday, 10pm-midnight, playing you some songs! There will be at least one new song, which David loves and Sarah hates, so that should be interesting to see how that works out.

Hey what ho lads, it is Tom Nevers Head again. We’ll be at the Small Bar Logan Square this Saturday, 10pm-midnight, playing you some songs. Two brand new ones this time! One of them is even about the Small Bar! Now that is service.

Small Bar, 2956 N. Albany, at Wellington. 10pm, Saturday November 7th. That is when to be where if you want to hear a song about that specific location.

What ho, lads! Clearly, we have not learned any lessons from previous times, so we will be out in public, playing music, yet again. Join us this Sunday, September 27th, 12:30 pm, at the Logan Square Farmer’s Market! The last time we played there it was like 9000 degrees outside. With any luck it will be *slightly* cooler this time around.

Dave’s birthday show was pretty great, although he got quite toasty, and he wasn’t even drinking these:

We might be at Whole Foods LKV again next month, more on that soon. And as always, we’re at the Logan Square Small Bar on the first Saturday of every month! Come get some!

The farmers market show was great!! So many impossibly adorable kids dancing like crazy to the music, our friend Jason said we need to start playing preschools. :D

Our next show will be Saturday, September 5th, which coincidentally is also our fiddle player’s BIRTHDAY. Would you like to know how Scots-Irish Fiddlers celebrate birthdays? Here is a clue: it is mostly celebrated by drinking, and also fiddling. Come on out to the Logan Square Small Bar at 2956 Albany, Chicago, Saturday September 5th, 10:00 pm, and be a part of the drunken, fiddly festivities!

Had a great show at the Whole Foods Beer and Wine fest on Saturday afternoon, and another fun 1st Saturday of the month at Small Bar! Our heartfelt apologies, guy-about-to-get-married, that we couldn’t accommodate your request for Springsteen. David wanted very badly to play something for you, but he was really quite drunk by the time you asked. Next time!

In the meantime please join us on Sunday, August 9th, at the Logan Square Farmer’s Market! We’ll be playing from 11am to 1pm. While you’re there, check out the tasty treats from Mint Creek Farm, our accordionist just joined their CSA and won’t shut up about how great their lamb burgers are.

and then next Sunday, August 9th, at 10:00 a.m., playing at the Logan Square Farmer’s Market, at the Southeast corner of Logan Blvd. and Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Come join us!

Well Friday’s show at the Gallery Cabaret was pretty great, against all odds.

Earlier that afternoon, Dave snapped a fiddle string, Sarah broke her mandolin, and we forgot the bouzouki on Brandon’s couch. Magically though – Dave found a replacement fiddle string, he managed to play the Salmon song on his fiddle instead of the bouzouki, and Todd and Andrea appeared in a poof of mystical smoke with a spare mandolin for us to borrow! Outstanding!

Coming up: we’re playing August 1st at Logan Square Small Bar, and August 9th at the Logan Square Farmer’s Market.

Hey guess what? We’re playing the Gallery Cabaret on FRIDAY. This coming Friday, July 17th. It’s a free show, and the Gallery Cabaret is a very pleasant bar, and we are nice people, so it sure seems like you should come rock out to some Irish and Scottish tunes with us.

Thanks to everyone who came to the show on the 4th! Thanks especially to the people who danced. We love it when people clap and cheer but the best ever is when people dance.

Oh and how about those fireworks? Pretty great, huh? I think most people had cleared out by the time the fire trucks rolled in.

We’ll be back at the Small Bar August 1! Fewer fire trucks this time.
