in james kochalka's "quit your job", the main character's cat wins an essay contest. i don't remember the exact quote, but she talks about looking out the window of her house (she is an indoor kitty) and seeing the sky filled with stars, and it's so breathtaking that "then, my heart is big for such a little cat".
