my addiction to wikipedia turned out to be a gateway drug. the other day it turned me onto the vilely addictive logic game Su Doku. i can't stop. i've moved up to the mediumly difficult ones and i can get thru a puzzle in 10 minutes. pretty soon the mediums won't be enough for me, i'll be taking on the really hard ones, and then after that i'll resort to mainlining sudoku puzzles and panhandling to support my habit.

each 3x3 cube has to have each number, 1 thru 9. so does each row. so does each column. when you finish the puzzle and everything adds up, it gives you a sublime sense of utter perfection, like everything is right in the universe.
