ooooookay. i'm a lot less angry today. we watched saved last night and i got a good night's sleep, and now i'm not nearly so apocalyptically miserable and furious. so. baleeted yesterday's little bout of vitriolic rage. replacing it with this, slightly more reasoned approach.

1) blue america doesn't understand red america, and vice versa. there seems little desire on either side to want to even TRY to understand the other.

2) i really, really, really hope i'm wrong about all the cassandra-esque doom and disaster i'm seeing in the next four years. REALLY.

3) if this is the beginning of a trend in america, and if it continues in this direction even after another four years, i will expatriate, and i will not feel bad about it. i refuse to live in a fundamentalist pseudo-theocracy, no matter what religion is sponsoring it. right now i'm thinking about montreal, if they'll take me.
